Myriam Boutin is creating the world she wants, one artistic discipline at a time.
Myriam has explored freedom of expression in almost every way imaginable since early childhood: composing originals on her mother’s piano, mastering choreography in her makeshift-disco bedroom, and making home movies on her grandfather’s VHS before it was trendy.
Myriam’s natural passions and talents led her to pursue formal dance training in her teens, directly followed by classic musical training in her early 20s. When asked by her audition teacher why she was interested in cello, she answered “I’m a dancer, and my dream is to choreograph and compose my own music”. Having mastered the physical and audible arts, the next logical step was visual production; Myriam went on to study stage and television, leading to a 15-year long career both on and behind the stage in almost all possible roles.
From cellist in a metal band, to script writer, dancer and score-composer, Myriam is the ultimate, artistic Renaissance woman. Today she works mainly in independent film, elevating imaginary worlds with custom film scores, film-making and dance.
